Ricardo Valbuena

Is a professional artist with an extensive international trajectory. He leaves Colombia at a young age and begins a pilgrimage around the world.

At age 29 he has his first spiritual awakening in London, which forces him to question his existence so he decided to begin an adventure that leads him to leave Europe and venture into the Shamanism of South America and the Amazon. These experiences will guide him to India where he remains for two years internally in the Ashram of the Bihar School of Yoga studying and teaching yoga. From there he goes to live in Morocco, then Ireland and later USA, where he becomes a citizen and begins to work deepening in art and in his studies also teaching yoga and meditation, especially Advaita Vedanta and Vipassana.

In September 2015 he returned to live in Colombia. Here he continues his artistic creation and the teaching of yoga and meditation. 

In March he will attend the Hotel & Bioreserva Lagos de Menegua teaching the following classes:

Saturday, March 9 - YOGA AND MEDITATION

Sunset session at "Lago del silencio" (4:30 P.M - 6:00 P.M)

The class will consist of 4 sections: Asanas (postures), Relaxation, Pranayama (breathing exercises) and Meditation.

40 minutes of yoga postures to revitalize, strengthen and give flexibility to the body.

15 minutes of deep relaxation to learn to consciously relax and relax the body and mind.

15 minutes of breathing exercises to learn to breathe correctly and deeply, increasing vitality and quieting the mind.

20 minutes of meditation, to observe the mind and go beyond the mind to find inner silence.

Sunday March 10 - BODY CONSCIOUSNESS AND BREATHING

Session at sunrise (6:00 AM to 7:30 AM)

The class will consist of three sections: Asanas (postures), Relaxation and Pranayama (breathing exercises).

50 minutes of bodily exercises with an emphasis on body awareness, feeling the inner body and the energy generated by the exercises, increasing our own sensitivity to the physical body.

20 minutes of conscious and deep relaxation to rest the body and mind.

20 minutes of breathing exercises, exploring different breathing techniques to increase prana (life force) and access to meditative states.

IT INCLUDES:

  • Lodging for 1 night in double accommodation.
  • Full Board: 1 breakfast, 2 lunches (1 typical lunch), 1 dinner.
  • Two Yoga sessions with Professor Ricardo Valbuena
  • Water activities in the reserve: Kayak and sport fishing.
  • Guided walk through the reserve and sighting of birds and mammals.
  • Contribution to sustainability.
  • Transportation to the place of the classes.
  • Taxes.

IT DOES NOT INCLUDE:

  • Transportation from the place of origin to Hotel & Bioreserva Lagos de Menegua.
  • Additional costs.
  • Activities not included in the plan.
  • Optional Hotel Insurance ($ 5,000 COP)
